TPU (Thermoplastic polyurethanes) Thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer, commonly referred to as TPU, is a versatile material primarily categorized into polyester and polyether types. It boasts a diverse hardness range (60HA-85HD), exceptional wear resistance, oil resistance, and transparency. TPU exhibits excellent elasticity, making it ideal for daily necessities, sporting goods, toys, and decorative materials. Moreover, halogen-free flame retardant TPU is an eco-friendly alternative to soft PVC, aligning with modern environmental standards. Defined by its low vitrification temperature, TPU elongates over 50% at break and recovers well after removing external forces. As a unique elastomer, polyurethane elastomers blend the properties of rubber and plastic, offering a broad hardness and performance spectrum. Minimal or no crosslinking in its chemical structure results in molecules that are predominantly linear with some physical crosslinking, making TPU thermoplastically processable.

 

Owing to its superior characteristics, TPU finds extensive applications. Its remarkable wear resistance is perfect for shoe soles, belts, and conveyor belts. The material's oil resistance makes it suitable for manufacturing oil seals, pads, and gaskets.
