TPU (Thermoplastic polyurethanes) Thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer rubber, commonly known as TPU, is primarily segmented into polyester and polyether types. It boasts a broad hardness range (60HA-85HD), superior wear resistance, oil resistance, transparency, and excellent elasticity. TPU finds extensive use in daily necessities, sporting goods, toys, decorative materials, and more. Halogen-free flame retardant TPU is an eco-friendly alternative to soft PVC, meeting environmental standards across various industries. An elastomer is characterized by a glass transition temperature below room temperature, an elongation at break >50%, and excellent recovery post external force removal. Polyurethane elastomer, a unique elastomer category, ranges widely in hardness and performance, placing it between rubber and plastic. Thermoplastic polyurethanes, with minimal or no chemical crosslinking, exhibit a linear molecular structure with some physical crosslinking.
