TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethanes) Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) is an elastomer rubber, mainly divided into polyester and polyether types. It boasts a versatile hardness range (60HA-85HD), exceptional wear resistance, oil resistance, transparency, and superb elasticity. TPU finds widespread application in daily necessities, sporting goods, toys, decorative materials, and more. Additionally, halogen-free flame-retardant TPU serves as an eco-friendly alternative to soft PVC, meeting stringent environmental standards across various sectors. The term 'elastomer' denotes materials with a glass transition temperature below room temperature, elongation at break >50%, and excellent recovery after deformation. Polyurethane elastomers are a subset of elastomers, offering a broad hardness and performance spectrum, thus bridging the gap between rubber and plastic polymers. Thermoplastic polyurethanes feature minimal or no chemical crosslinking, presenting primarily linear molecular structures with some physical crosslinking. This unique configuration defines TPU.
