TPU (Thermoplastic polyurethanes) Thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer rubber. Mainly divided into polyester and polyether types, it boasts a wide hardness range (60HA-85HD), excellent wear and oil resistance, transparency, and superb elasticity. Widely utilized in everyday items, sporting goods, toys, decorative materials, and more. Halogen-free flame retardant TPU can replace soft PVC, meeting the rising environmental standards in various domains. Elastomers are polymers with a glass transition temperature below room temperature, an elongation at break >50%, and excellent recovery upon the removal of external forces. Polyurethane elastomer, a special category within elastomers, spans a wide hardness and performance range, positioned between rubber and plastic. Thermoplastically moldable, with minimal crosslinking, its molecules are largely linear with some physical crosslinking. This type of polyurethane is known as TPU.

 

Thanks to its stellar performance, TPU finds diverse applications. Its superior wear resistance makes it ideal for shoe soles, belts, and conveyor belts. Its oil resistance lends to manufacturing oil seals, gaskets, and other industrial pads. Additionally, it is used in producing industrial goods, sporting equipment, automotive components, coatings, and beyond.
