TPU (Thermoplastic polyurethanes) The product is known as Thermoplastic Polyurethane Elastomer Rubber. It is mainly divided into two types: polyester and polyether. Offering a versatile hardness range (60HA-85HD), exceptional wear resistance, oil resistance, and transparency, TPU also boasts remarkable elasticity. It finds extensive applications in daily necessities, sporting goods, toys, decorative materials, and more. Additionally, halogen-free flame-retardant TPU serves as an eco-friendly alternative to soft PVC, aligning with the growing environmental demands of various industries. Elastomers are materials with a glass transition temperature below room temperature, exhibit elongation at break >50%, and recover effectively after force removal. Polyurethane elastomers, a specialized category within elastomers, possess a wide range of hardness and performance characteristics, placing them between rubber and plastic. Thermoplastic in nature, these materials exhibit minimal or no crosslinking in their chemical structure, characterized by linear molecules with some physical crosslinking, defining what we call TPU.
