TPU (Thermoplastic polyurethanes) Thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer rubber, commonly known as TPU, is a versatile material available in polyester and polyether types. It offers an extensive hardness range (60HA-85HD), superb wear and oil resistance, excellent elasticity, and transparency. Widely utilized in daily necessities, sporting goods, toys, and decorative materials, TPU also meets stringent environmental standards, making it a superior alternative to soft PVC. As an elastomer with a vitrification temperature below room temperature, TPU demonstrates impressive elongation at break (>50%) and excellent recovery after deformation. This unique material, which bridges the gap between rubber and plastic, features minimal or no crosslinking, allowing for thermal plasticization while maintaining a predominantly linear molecular structure with some physical crosslinking.

 

Thanks to its remarkable properties, TPU finds applications across a broad spectrum. Its exceptional wear resistance makes it ideal for shoe soles, belts, conveyor belts, and other wear-resistant materials. TPU's oil resistance lends itself to the production of oil seals, gaskets, and various industrial products.
