TPU (Thermoplastic polyurethanes) Thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer rubber, known for its adaptability, is mainly divided into polyester and polyether types. It boasts a broad hardness range (60HA-85HD), excellent wear and oil resistance, transparency, and superior elasticity. These attributes make it a popular material in daily necessities, sporting goods, toys, and decorative materials. Additionally, halogen-free flame retardant TPU serves as an eco-friendly alternative to soft PVC, meeting stringent environmental standards. Elastomers, characterized by a vitrification temperature lower than room temperature, elongation at break >50%, and superior recovery post external force removal, are a unique polymer category. Polyurethane elastomers, with their extensive hardness and performance range, bridge the gap between rubber and plastic materials. Featuring minimal or no crosslinking in their chemical structure, TPU molecules are primarily linear with some physical crosslinking.
