TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethanes) Thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer rubber, also known as TPU, is an incredibly versatile material. It is primarily divided into polyester and polyether types, offering a wide hardness range of 60HA-85HD. TPU boasts exceptional wear resistance, oil resistance, and transparency, paired with excellent elasticity. These attributes make it ideal for daily necessities, sporting goods, toys, decorative materials, and other applications. The halogen-free flame retardant variant of TPU stands as an eco-friendly alternative to soft PVC, fulfilling the rising environmental standards across various industries. Elastomers are defined by their glass transition temperature being lower than room temperature, elongation at break exceeding 50%, and superior recovery after deformation. Polyurethane elastomers occupy a special niche within elastomers, bridging the gap between rubber and plastic. They exhibit a broad hardness and performance spectrum. Characterized by minimal or no crosslinking in their chemical structure, TPU molecules are essentially linear with physical crosslinking. This unique structure categorizes them as thermoplastic polyurethanes.
