TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethanes) Thermoplastic Polyurethane Elastomer Rubber, commonly known as TPU, is a versatile material primarily categorized into polyester and polyether types. With a remarkable hardness range from 60HA to 85HD, TPU boasts superior wear resistance, oil resistance, transparency, and elasticity. It finds extensive applications in daily necessities, sporting goods, toys, and decorative materials. Additionally, halogen-free flame-retardant TPU can effectively replace soft PVC to meet escalating environmental standards. Elastomers, like TPU, have a glass transition temperature below room temperature, an elongation at break >50%, and excellent recovery after deformation, making them a unique class of polymers. Polyurethane elastomers exhibit a broad hardness and performance spectrum, positioning them between rubber and plastic. Thermoplastic in nature, these elastomers feature minimal or no chemical cross-linking, with predominantly linear molecular structures and some physical cross-linking, embodying the essence of TPU.
