TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethanes) Thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer rubber, commonly known as TPU, is categorized into polyester and polyether types. It boasts a vast hardness range (60HA-85HD), excellent wear and oil resistance, transparency, and outstanding elasticity. These attributes make it ideal for daily commodities, sports equipment, toys, and decorative materials. Halogen-free flame-retardant TPU can also substitute soft PVC, meeting environmental standards across various sectors. An elastomer's distinct feature is its vitrification temperature being lower than room temperature, with elongation at break exceeding 50%, and excellent recovery post-deformation. Positioned between rubber and plastic, polyurethane elastomers encompass a wide hardness and performance range. TPU, thermoplastic by nature, has minimal or no crosslinking in its chemical structure, resulting in predominantly linear molecules with some physical crosslinking.

 

TPU's remarkable properties make it suitable for diverse applications. Its superior wear resistance is perfect for shoe soles, belts, conveyor belts, and other wear-resistant materials. Its oil resistance is advantageous for manufacturing oil seals, gaskets, and pads. Additionally, TPU is extensively utilized in industrial products, sports gear, automotive components, and coatings.
