TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethanes) Thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer rubber is a versatile material known for its durability and flexibility. It comes in two main types: polyester and polyether. With a broad hardness range (60HA-85HD), TPU offers exceptional wear resistance, oil resistance, and transparency, combined with superb elasticity. It finds widespread application in everyday items, sporting goods, toys, decorative materials, and more. Halogen-free flame retardant TPU is also an eco-friendly alternative to soft PVC, meeting the stringent environmental standards of various industries. As elastomers have a vitrification temperature lower than room temperature and an elongation at break greater than 50%, they exhibit remarkable recovery upon removal of external forces. Polyurethane elastomers are a unique subclass of elastomers, with a wide hardness and performance range, positioning them between rubber and plastic. Thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPUs) are characterized by minimal chemical crosslinking, resulting in linear molecular structures with some physical crosslinking.
